WMC water mist extinguisher (AF)
The Saval WMC water mist fire extinguisher is ideal in situations where collateral damage must absolutely be avoided. You can think of museums, archives, cleanrooms, care institutions, technical rooms, etc. In addition, water mist is also suitable for extinguishing oil and grease fires (fire class F). Water mist is not electrically conductive and non-corrosive; this makes it safe to use in the presence of electrical equipment.
WATER MIST PREVENTS COLLATERAL DAMAGE
A fire always inflicts some form of damage. And collateral damage due to the extinguishing agent used must therefore also be as low as possible. Even the most environmentally friendly foam extinguisher leaves something behind and CO2 is only applicable in limited situations. Extinguishing with water is not completely without risk, but in this specific form it can be a surprisingly good solution.
THE PERFORMANCE OF WATER MIST
The secret of the watermist extinguishing agent is the fine water droplets it consists of. These tiny drops make the water spray extinguishers very effective. The cooling capacity and the local oxygen displacement are the most important effects. In doing so, it limits heat and smoke development, which prolongs the flight time and increases chances of survival.The water is sprayed through the special nozzle in very small water droplets (≤ 0.1 mm diameter). This creates a larger cooling surface than a normal water or foam jet offers. This not only protects the fire but also protects people and goods against the heat and fire.
